1. Website owner

The website www.jesustabaco.com presents the portfolio and professional services of Jesus Tabaco, an individual professional registered under Peruvian tax ID (RUC) 10480654060 and based in Lima, Peru.

2. Terms of use

This website provides information about my work in digital product and experience design, visual identity, graphic design and social media content. It also allows you to contact me about a project.

Viewing the portfolio or sending a message does not, on its own, establish a service agreement. Each project's scope, deliverables, schedule, fees, revisions and usage rights are agreed in a specific proposal or contract.

The website must be used lawfully, without disrupting its operation, attempting to access other people's information or using its contact channels to send fraudulent or harmful content.

3. Content and intellectual property

The text, designs and work shown illustrate my professional experience. Third-party trademarks, logos, photographs and other materials belong to their respective owners. Their inclusion does not transfer rights or provide general permission to reproduce them.

Reusing a work or material requires permission from the relevant rights holder or an exception permitted by applicable law. Academic projects are identified as such.

4. Links and availability

The website links to WhatsApp and profiles on external platforms. Those platforms' terms and policies also apply when you access them.

Portfolio information may be updated. If you notice an error or have a question about any content, you can contact the email address in this document. These terms do not limit any rights or responsibilities that cannot be waived under applicable law.

5. Privacy policy

This policy explains how I process personal data you share when asking about my services or during a professional relationship. The data controller is Jesus Tabaco, identified in section 1.

Processing is subject to Peru's Personal Data Protection Law, Law No. 29733, its Regulations approved by Supreme Decree No. 016-2024-JUS, and other applicable provisions.

6. Data and purposes

If you contact me by email or WhatsApp, I may receive your name, email address, telephone number and information about your organization or project. If you engage my services, I may also need the identification and billing information required to manage the engagement.

I use this information to answer questions, prepare proposals, coordinate and provide agreed services, and meet legal obligations related to the professional relationship. You do not need to provide information unrelated to your inquiry.

The information needed to respond to a request or provide a service is identified as appropriate. Without it, I may be unable to handle that request. Marketing communications requiring consent are managed separately and remain optional.

7. Consent and other permitted grounds

Where consent is required, I will request it in advance for the relevant purpose, on an informed, express and unambiguous basis. Browsing this website or reading this document does not replace that consent.

Data may also be processed without consent where permitted by law, including processing needed to prepare or perform a contractual relationship at your request or to meet a legal obligation.

8. Retention and security

I retain data for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and, where applicable, for periods required to meet legal obligations or address responsibilities arising from the service. Once no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized unless legal retention is required.

I apply security measures appropriate to the data processed to help prevent unauthorized access, loss or use. No communication channel can guarantee absolute security.

9. Platforms and recipients

External channels, including WhatsApp, email and social networks, process information you share through them under their own policies. Using these services may involve processing or storage outside Peru.

If a service requires providers to process data on my behalf, or data to be disclosed to other recipients, applicable requirements for information, security, confidentiality and, where necessary, consent will apply. General permission to browse will not be used to justify such disclosures.

10. Browsing and preferences

The website stores your light or dark appearance preference in your browser so it remains consistent between pages. This preference is stored locally and can be removed through your browser settings.

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a Google service, to obtain statistics about page visits and navigation, as well as technical browser and device information. Analytics may use cookies to distinguish visits and sessions, and Google may process data outside Peru. This integration does not enable Google Signals or advertising personalization. You can block these cookies in your browser or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

11. Your rights

You may request access to, correction or cancellation of your data, object to its processing, and withdraw consent, subject to applicable legal requirements and limitations. You may also exercise other rights recognized by applicable law.

Write to hola@jesustabaco.com, stating the right you wish to exercise, the data concerned and how you would like to receive a response. Your identity will be verified proportionately, and only information needed to handle your request will be requested.

Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing or applicable retention obligations. If you receive no response within the legal time limit or believe your rights have not been addressed, you may contact Peru's National Authority for Personal Data Protection.
